Savoury
Try swapping crisps, which are high in fat, salt and calories, for savoury snacks like plain popcorn, crackers, rice cakes, oatcakes, breadsticks or why not, baked crisps.

Vegetables
Chop carrots, celery, peppers and cucumber into bite-sized sticks. They're great to nibble on, whatever you're doing. Click here to watch our Simple Ideas with Veg Video.

Sweet Snacks
Cakes and biccies are best eaten in moderation. If you want a sweet snack, try lower-fat, lower sugar yoghurts, fromage frais or a small scone, currant bun or slice of malt loaf with a reduced fat spread. They are often lower in sugar than a chocolate bar but might still help your craving for something sweet. Or there’s fruit. Bananas, apples and tangerines are delicious and easy to cut into snack-size pieces. What about grapes? Or raspberries?
